Spiritual oppression is a subject the Bible directly addresses in Luke 13:11, “…and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all.” Jesus further confirmed in verse 16, “And this woman, a daughter of Abraham as she is, whom Satan has bound for eighteen long years, should she not have been released from this bond on the Sabbath day?” Physical, emotional, and mental oppression, are very real problems that we all deal with during difficult times in our lives.
